Terms of Use
etc/hosts is licensed under Apple's standard terms. What follows is the plain-language summary of the purchase terms, and it does not replace them.

Licence
Use of etc/hosts is governed by Apple's Standard End User License Agreement (the "Standard EULA"), which applies to apps licensed through the App Store. Installing or using the app means accepting it.
Subscriptions
Pro is available as an auto-renewing subscription, or as a one-time lifetime purchase. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.

Prices are shown in USD. The App Store displays the price in your own currency before you buy, and that is the price that applies.
- Renewal. A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renewal is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- Managing and cancelling. Subscriptions are managed in Settings › your name › Subscriptions after purchase. Cancelling stops the next renewal; access continues to the end of the period already paid for.
- Free trial. The app offers one 14-day trial of every Pro feature. It starts only when you choose “Start 14-Day Free Trial,” and it requires no purchase or payment method. This is an app-provided trial, not a StoreKit introductory offer: it never converts into a subscription, there is nothing to cancel, and no charge is made when it ends. When it ends, the Pro-only matching modes stop; the rules you created remain in the app.
- Changing plans. Monthly and yearly provide the same access, so switching between them takes effect at the next renewal rather than immediately.
- Lifetime. A separate one-time purchase. It does not cancel an active subscription, so cancel first — the app checks that auto-renewal is off before it will sell it to you. Lifetime covers every Pro feature in the current version and the updates that follow it; a future major version may be sold separately. "Lifetime" means the working life of this app, not a promise of perpetual development. etc/hosts runs entirely on your device, so a purchased copy keeps working whether or not new versions ship. We may stop development, stop selling the app, or remove it from the App Store — a Lifetime purchase is not a commitment to ongoing updates or support, and it does not survive Apple or iOS dropping support for the features the app relies on.
Refunds
All purchases are processed by Apple, and refunds are Apple's to issue, at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue one directly. If something is not working, write to us first — we would rather fix it.
What the app does not promise
etc/hosts answers DNS lookups for the domains you configure. It cannot make an unreachable server reachable, present a TLS certificate on a server's behalf, or influence how the connection that follows a lookup is routed. Whether a redirect produces a working page depends on your network and on the machine at the other end. The app is provided as-is, to the extent permitted by the Standard EULA and applicable law.
